Fantastic sunrise at Avebury the other day, and quite a popular one with at least 4 photographers out.  Timing was crucial as the full moon was setting at around the same time as the sun rose.

Got a shot of the moon behind one of the stones with the 70-200 at the short end, before shifting position (and lens) to catch the amazing colours in the sky before the sun made an appearance.

Then adjusting again with a tight pano crop to catch a sunstar as it tops the horizon

Frosty, foggy morning

So I went to my local woodland the other day.  The weather forecast was perfect - frost and fog.  The trees were shrouded in mist and the leaves - the ones that were left - were lined with crisp, white frost.

Frosted spiders webs caught the light, and there was a very friendly robin perched on the fence.
