Misty Avebury... at long last

For some strange reason I awoke very early the other morning, and it was pretty misty outside. So, at 5 am, I drove to Avebury. I finally got the sort of shots I've always wanted from that place.

On the way back home, since it was still so misty, I stopped at Corsham Court. The house was completely lost in the thick mist, but the lake seemed eerily atmospheric.

Cyprus, finally...

In a burst of post-processing, I've finally got the work done on the shots from Cyprus last year. After showing these to a few friends, this one is the run away favourite.

Something closer to home - the Great Outdoors... out of bounds

So I went to Avebury the other day. Spectacularly clear day, unexpected at this time of year. One of these days I'll get that moody, foggy shot of those rocks that I want.

Unfortunately, part of the rock circle is inaccessible just now. Erosion control barriers are up. This place is older than Stonehenge, and in the last 100 years or so, so many people visit that it is being eroded more now than at any time. Still, it's good to know that the National Trust are maintaining the site for future generations.

Canada again

Thought I'd let you see another Canada landscape. This one is from the mountains high above the ski resort, Mont Tremblant in Quebec

Canada

I finally got around to finishing the processing on the 800+ images I shot on the trip to Canada last October. Oh well, better late than never.
